"I have been troubled with back pain for some considerable time, but was always able one way or another to sort it out. On this latest occasion however, using a multiple of rubs, lotions, heat pads and ice packs, these gave only a temporary relief. It had reached the point that my limitations were being thoroughly exposed. I had trouble standing, sitting, walking and even driving as this caused me considerable pain. I had difficulty performing necessary chores in the garden, one of my favourite past times, it was affecting my sleeping pattern no end and I found that everything was getting me down. I was only getting approximately 2-3 hours sleep maximum a night before being awakened by the pain. My wife made up a bed downstairs on the sofa, and without contradiction this was where I ended up every night walking about and lying down trying to get a few hours sleep.
